Someone broke into my car!!

Yes, some bastard(s) did.. but not just my car. My dad's Toyota Unser was unfortunate enough to be in the same situation. My Proton Wira's left (passanger) side window was smashed completely, and my dad's driver side window was shattered but still in contact due to its protective coating.

CD Players - that's their target. Since that my wira's CD player is built-in into the dashboard, they only managed to steal the front panel. (can a cd player work without a box set? or can a cd player work if its front panel be attach to a different box sex?) Surprisingly, they didn't take the amp & pre-amp set which was visibly under the steering wheel and driver's seat. Are they really into cd players or just simply stupid to realise what's actually in front of their eyes? (the amp & pre-amp sets cost more, perhaps double than the cd player)

On the other hand, my dad's cd player was NOT built-in into the dashboard but the whole set was inside the compartment. So, all that's left was the LCD screen?? It's exactly at the top right beside the air-cond switches, but then again.. as I said earlier, they're simply stupid. It's not that I want them to steal but.. since they're going for cd players, why not grab the whole I.C.E (in-car entertainment) system..

Anyway, I'm glad they didn't break ALL the windows or took away the road tax stickers.. I'm just sad to know that I've been saving money to buy a security system in this few days (after I receive my monthly paycheck) but I was too late.

Later around 11am, our trusted mechanic came and took our cars and replaced the windows. He told us there is a syndicate which involves breaking into cars and stealing CD players, LCD screens, and also the Smart-Tag console, to name a few. He said he has repaired 18 similar car incidents for the past 1-2 months, "..ada satu tokey kedai elektrik besar kat sini, dia punya kereta 6 buah semua kena, dalam satu malam saja.."

So, let this be a lesson to everyone of you out there.. especially those who park their cars outside (because there's no more space to park inside the house, like me).. ALWAYS REMOVE YOUR CD-PLAYER PANELS (if possible) and bring them inside the house everynight, and put it back later on the cd player the next day if you're planning to use the car.
