The Best Year of My Life.. 2006.
Forgive me guys for abandoning my blog due to heavy work at the firm. Which firm? Oh yeah, I haven't told you yet. Exactly two months after my last year's bday, I started working at a private architecture firm here in Alor Star, it's called Anak Arshad Architect (AAa). Started off as a draughtmen, and recently got promoted (self-claimed?) to IT Manager. So, currently it's Draughtmen / IT Manager.. cool huh? Anyway, before I carry on, let me briefly recap on this year's activities/events/issues/affairs/etc, shall we?
January:
1st - Been single for the past few months, this year it started the same.
28th - Went down to KL yesterday (27th) and today I went on a date(s) with my friend Mariya, and my 1st time meetup with her two other friends Ayu, and Jane at MidValley during the upcoming CNY festival.
February:
4th - Got to know Miss W thru friendster. Been sms/talk/chat since then.
11th - My 1st donation to Jiwang Torrent website (RM10 online trans.)
18th - My original Sony MDR-XD100 Headphones arrived, this was my 1st online shopping experience! Item received EXACTLY one week from purchased date.
19th - Me & Miss W, officially. Unfortunately, that same day I met an accident - a stupid bike collided with my car (sideway, just at the fender). He cut from the inner side of the road while I was turning into my bosses house to drop her son back from school. Brought him to hospital, cased continued the next day.
20th - The bike fella wanted to meet up, we talked, and he had the nerve to ask money from me for his smashed bike. I was the one who's supposed to claim money for he was the one who knocked me. He didn't take any money since I agreed I would give him money ONLY if he lets me report a disciplinary misconduct outside his working hours (but during MY working hours).. he's working in the air force, by the way, and he REALLY didn't want to be reported to his higher officer. Cased closed.
March:
18th - Overnight in KL again.. *damn I miss KL so much!!*
19th - Me & Miss W celebrated our 1month a'sary. Sadly, it was our 1st and the last time meeting each other. Still friends until today.
April:
11th - [AAa] Trip to the Titi Hayun waterfall! Another fantastic getaway with all the staffs. We had ikan bakar (done at that place), I brought 100pieces of otak2 (bakar sendiri the night before) for everyone, and others brought their own choice of foods n drinks.
15th - PC Fair at Central Square, Sg Petani. Bought myself a 40GB HDD Player for RM400. (can play directly to TV, remote included)
May:
1st - HOTLINK'S RM1 = 1000 SMS!!! (Manage to send up to 100, including to those people who I rarely keep in touch.. and that was before my hp's batt died.)
9th - My 1st time buying car parts at a chop-shop - original GSR sideskirts & GSR spoiler = RM500 both. *damn mahal! 1st timers la katakan..*
11th - Went to the same place, bought 1set of original Mitsubishi door visors = RM80. *aiyah.. kena 'katok' duit lagi ohh.. sheesh!*
13th - Abg Shapari suggested me to meet up with Bro Hafiz in Kulim, asked his workers to install the parts I bought (9th) previously = RM40 only.
June:
2nd - Reunited with one of my close primary schoolmates - Zelly (and her family) in Penang! Wow, it's been like 12years since we last saw each other.. and thanks to friendster, we managed to track back and today, my family met hers, on a holiday trip. *we both secretly planned actually, kinda funny but it was worth it!*
8th - 1st time buying car parts from the ProtonClub forum - a 'Promote-2' bumper, from one of the forumers - Abg SaripDol, for RM370. Paid online, he kept it before I come down to KL and meet him.
9th - [AAa] Another waterfall trip, this time it's Bukit Hijau! Very far driving, but the place was magnificant! Better than previous location, and spacious for everyone to enjoy by the waterfall. Would I go again? HELL YEAH!
27th - Due to extremely dangerous conditions, I decided to get a new set of Honda SR4 & Monroe (absorbers and springs) for my car. RM630, done here at Tirezone, Alor Star.
29th - Another online ProtonClub purchase from Abg SaripDol - original GSR rear skirts = RM120. *all bodykits I bought for my car are PU material.*
July:
10th - Bought a pair of original black SSCUS semi-bucket seats (RM700) and the original set of GSR rear seats (RM500), all done in Gurun. *thanks Shahnizam for bringing me to this place, I owe u bro.*
14th - Went down to KL yesterday (13th) with Hendra. Met up with Ameir today, brought them to meet Abg SaripDol. He brought all my bodykits that I bought from him, took me to a place to install all of them. Installations = RM35.
August:
8th - Painted all the newly installed bodykits to match my current car paint - metallic silver, at the same place I installed my seats. The guy gave me discounts, he even painted all the rusty parts of my car too! Total paint costs = RM840.
September:
22nd - [AAa] Sad news. Former staff, Abg Shahruddin, passed away due to heart illness. *Al-Fathihah*
October:
9th - [AAa] Buka puasa at D'Perindu Restaurant in Kuala Kedah. Awesome food and the service is better than before (last time I ate here was last year, and it took 30mins for drinks to arrive.) Abg Shapari paid for everything. *thanks*
22nd - [Homies] Buka puasa at Harvard Suasana, Gurun.. Shahnizam handled everything since he's working there (for GOLF membership). There were around 15 of us (guys n girls), the food was excellent, the get-back-together with the homies is always the best. *miss u fellas alot..*
November:
9th - My 3rd online ProtonClub purchased, original GSR auto-flip side-mirrors from Bro PipeHanger, RM250 (mirrors + switch + relay + PosLaju).
19th - Installed the mirrors at Ah Seng, RM65. *thanks Shauqi for directing me to this shop.* By the way, Shauqi is a new staff working in the firm (supposed to be the architect's assistant, still under probation).
21st - Skipped work becaused I promised my gameshop friend, Eddy, that I'll go to his place and watch the TM Net people install Streamyx. He took the RM77/month 1MB Package promotion. Installed at 10am, 2pm he was already surfing the web.
December:
30th - Nothing regarding me actually, but today marks the day of Saddam Hussein's death - hanged exactly one day before Hari Raya Qurban. *Al-Fathihah*
